WOW! What a year for BBG! Thanks to YOU ALL of course!! We’re still not even a year old yet! And thanks to the folks at Scarpino’s for hosting Big Bad Thursdays. Be looking for more starting in Jan. Full schedule coming!

Alot has happened in our 8 months together. Along with performing with Oxygen Edge, Tiffany Christopher, and (coming soon) GB Mojo from Austin, we’ve also begun recording our first CD, have been selected by the Free Weekly for a band of the week feature article, been on KXUA 88.3FM for Honest Tunes and for a special Pride radio show, and have been noticed by the THE Ingrid Michaelson who brings us “The Chain” and “You and I” (…let’s get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France……” that one!)

We are so thrilled with the support and love each of you give! Unending gratitude to you all! This town is full of many many artists and musicians, so there’s alot to choose from when going to be entertained. Thanks for choosing us!!! It’s full circle energy!!!

See you at Teatro Scarpino’s for Big Bad Thursdays and around Fayetteville and onward!!

Peace thru Music!

WOW I mean WOW!!!!!

The first Prima Diva Productions concert in the Dojo was a stark raving success! We had over 50 people at the GB Mojo/BBG/Oxygen House Concert! Unbelievably fun! And with room to dance even ~ which we did plenty of. GB Mojo themselves called it one of their top 3 gigs ever! And again I say WOW! We are so honored and thrilled to have them as our new friends in music, mission, and mojo! You can read their blog about it and more at www.gbmojo.com

That night we did some guest performing with them which only made us want more so we became mini stalkers of each other and followed each other’s gigs the whole week, including Opal Fly’s Feel Good Lounge and even to Eureka Springs. We’ll sure miss them when they get back on the road.

Even Still on the Hill had a chance to jam with these gals and there’s video coming of the impromptu jam session we all had at Kelly and Donna’s. Be looking for it on CAT TV and excerpts will surely appear on each other’s websites.

This is some serious mojo happening here folks! They have reinspired this musician for sure not to mention all whose lives they touch with their music and their message. I encourage you to check out their website and I bet you’ll be just as enthralled as we all are. Special Thanks to Esyule “the Cool” for insisting we all meet and make music together! She was instrumental in bringing on the MOJO and made sure the girls were warm, fed, and got to where they needed to be to make it all happen! THANKS Esyule!

“GB MOJO is the Austin based, harmony-driven duo comprised of dynamic singer/songwriters Ginger Doss and Bekah Kelso. Together they combine soul-folk rhythms and piano rock moxie, braiding their voices into a seamless tapestry of harmony to leave the listener breathless” ……….it’s true! I was totally in awe when I heard them for the first time.

That’s a mouthful! I hope you all are enjoying Big Bad Thursdays as much as Big Bad Gina is!! This Thursday, Nov. 5th would indeed be the next one as well as in two weeks, Nov. 19th. They start at 7pm so grab a date, wear your dancing shoes, and twirl on up to the bar for a Big Bad Buttery Gina. They’re tasty!

So what’s GB Mojo you ask?!?! Well folks, add a .com and see for yourselves!! A duo hailing from Austin gone gypsy and traveling around the country with the most amazing sultry, lilting, stop you still in your tracks kind of sound. Speaking of sound, even though there’s only 2, the quality of sound they put out is most amazing. I was in awe. And then I had the privilege of jamming with them along with Still on the Hill. And I had the foresight to bring a video camera so do be looking for some amazing impromptu footage.

And PD Productions, if you guessed, would be Prima Diva Productions (mmrrrroooww) and home to Big Bad Gina’s first professional recording project! Woooohoooooo!! Prima Diva also produced the first annual Goddess Festival CD in 2009. If you don’t have a copy, I highly recommend you acquire one soon as there are only 40 left! So yeah, recording! All original BBG songs! Keep your fingers crossed and your dollars set aside for a CD release party coming early spring 2010. We’re super stoked!

And that’s just some of the news in the life of a “folkin’ rocker chic”!
Seeya around town or in your neighborhood!

P.S. Just a reminder, you can book Big Bad Gina (or Jori solo) for your holiday party, Birthday party, or any other reason to celebrate with live music!

Thanks for the love and musical support! Jori
