Woooooohoooooo! Thank you wonder-full music lovers, fans, friends, and family! It’s because of YOU and your love, energy, and support, not to mention all the dancing, that’s made us the best new band! We couldn’t do it without you and we couldn’t be prouder!
But in the moment of accepting the award and the surprise, the adrenalin, the throng of people staring at us, I couldn’t get all the thanks out at once. So I’d like to shout out extra special thanks to Oxygen Edge for sharing her songs and bass prowess with us, Susan Porter, editor of the Free Weekly, for making sure this happens every year for 15 years now, and the Free Health Clinic for being available for all the low income patients they serve – including me! I’d also like to thank Angela Peace for setting us up with the most awesome professional photo shoots; many of them you will find on our bigbadgina.com website. And Kirk Lanier for many, many a gorgeous photo at gigs and out on the town and even double billing with us at Scarpino’s with his band.
There’s probably still more, oh yeah like Sky Dancer and Leona for making us the most fabulous video that’s had hundreds of views, Daniel Gold for his many years of DJing his KXUA radio show, Honest Tunes, and having us as one of his studio interviews and then videotaping us and helping us gain notice from Ingrid.
Yeah, there’s alot of people to thank and I’m thrilled beyond belief to receive this honor with my bandmates (that includes you too, Oxygen) who work their tails off always trying to keep it fresh, keep it real, and keep it good!
